Simsbury Town Hall is cooled by several rooftop units (RTUs) that distribute conditioned air to Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes throughout the facility. Each office space is equipped with hydronic heating, which serves both as reheat and primary heat for individual zones. Additionally, each RTU is equipped with an independent hydronic heating coil located in the ductwork below the roofline, used to temper the supply air. The building’s HVAC control system is a hybrid of Metasys, N2, and BACnet systems by Johnson Controls. The scope of work for this project includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment required to complete the project as specified: a. Replacement of RTU’s #2 & #4 b. Replacement RTU #6 (unique line item bid to isolate incremental cost for this unit) c. Removal and disposal of old units, and installation of new units inclusive of rigging, ductwork connections, electrical work, and all other work indicated on the drawings.
