Cove Storm Pond Rehabilitation

The City of Chestermere, on behalf of The Utility Co., involves restoring the pond's stormwater management function by addressing sediment accumulation, shoreline erosion, reduced storage capacity, and deteriorated infrastructure components. The work will rehabilitate key pond features, including inlet and outlet structures, embankments, and spillways, to improve water quality, restore operational capacity, reduce flood risk, and support the long-term reliability and performance of surrounding municipal infrastructure.

Proposals shall be submitted exclusively via email to the RFP Contact identified in Section 1.2 and outlined below:

Proposals must be submitted at the location set out above on or before the Submission Deadline.
Proposals submitted after the Submission Deadline may, at the sole discretion of the City, be
rejected.

Uploading large documents may take significant time, depending on the size of the (files) and internet connection speed. Please note that email submissions are limited to two (2) PDF files attached to the email, each no larger than 10Mb in size.
Allocate sufficient time for all uploads to complete prior to the official closing time. The dates and times of the submission are governed by the date and time the submission is received in the email inbox and this will serve as the official receipt of submission.

The City is not responsible for any technical system delays in the electronic delivery of the email
submission.
Proponents should submit their Proposals in PDF format via email. Please ensure that submission emails are prominently marked in the subject line with the RFP number (see RFP cover), with the full legal name of the Proponent.
Proposals should consist of three (3) PDF files;
•        one containing the complete proposal

2. Bonds and Insurance
.1 Bonds and insurance shall be paid on a lump sum basis and include the following.
.1 The Contractor shall deposit with the Owner a Performance Bond in the amount of 50% of the Tender price, and a Board Form Labour and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the Tender price.
.2 The Contractor shall provide and maintain Comprehensive General Liability Insurance acceptable to the City of Chestermere and subject to all applicable sections of the Contract Documents.

There will be a site meeting on Monday July 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM MDT. The site meeting will take place at the proposed site, at the lot adjacent to the house located at 257 Cove Road Chestermere, AB T1X 1E3
