Sidewalk Program

The City of Richmond is accepting bids for the construction of the FY 26 CIP Sidewalks, to provide general contracting services that include, but are not limited to: mobilization, maintenance of traffic (vehicular and pedestrian), street closures, sidewalk construction, sidewalk and curb demolition and replacement, handicap ramp installation, rubber sidewalk installation, alley/driveway apron replacement, brick and mortar repair, pavement patching, tree root work, tree removal, stump removal, adjusting utility castings, adjusting/replacing drainage basins, and all other work necessary to repair existing sidewalk. These sidewalk improvements/repairs will improve pedestrian access and safety all throughout the City.

The City’s intent is to:

1) Award multiple contracts to insure the availability of the contractors to perform the work in a timely manner.
2) Divide the work into three (3) roughly equal sized projects assigned on an as needed basis, conflicting concurrent work in the assigned area and other factors.
