To eliminate the risk of bidder disqualification based on failure to re-submit in response to an Amendment, as required by the new BC Bid rules, BC Hydro has changed its practice as of November 24, 2022, such that all changes to BC Hydro (including Q&As and Addenda) are now treated as “Addenda” (and not “Amendments”) within the BC Bid rules and, as such, no longer require re-submission by the bidder of any already made submission. Please see Addenda instructions for further information.

The above practice change means that changes (including Q&As and Addendas) to BC Hydro opportunities will no longer be posted in the RFx Documents section of this Overview tab.

Supplier Registration
Interested suppliers should note that BC Bid has upgraded its platform and that registration (or re-registration) in the new platform is necessary in order to respond to any opportunity after May 30, 2022. *** Opportunity Details ***
BC Hydro is seeking Proposals to support BC Hydro in the provision of a Safety Management Technology Solution that includes the following:
- Provision of a software solution;
- System integration services to design, integrate and implement the software; and
- On-going application maintenance for the software
(collectively, the ‘Solution’)
The Contract is expected to be for an initial term of (7) years, which may be extended for up to (10) year(s) through one or more contract extensions, for a potential total term of (17) years.

This procurement may involve negotiation.

This opportunity is subject to Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.
