The Rail Safety directorate at Transport Canada is seeking a contractor to review, revise and enhance the Canadian Grade Crossing Detailed Safety Assessment Guide (2005) to reflect the latest:

-        Canadian standards and regulatory requirements

-        Safety measures and technologies

-        International state of practice for detailed safety assessments and risk assessments for crossings on higher speed railway lines (>95mph)

-        State of practice for road safety audits in relation to grade crossings and crossing diagnostic reviews

This project will help improve grade crossing safety in identifying and mitigating safety risks and help support stakeholders in managing safety at crossings and ensure compliance with federal regulations and standards.

The resulting contract will be from contract award until March 31, 2027.
