Project Description: American Fork City Public Works, Engineering Division (“City”) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms (“Proposer”) to provide comprehensive engineering, design, bidding, and construction management services for a new drinking water well—known as the Dixie Well—located in the southwest part of the City.
The well site is approximately 943 S 900 West, American Fork, UT 84003 (Parcel #34:727:0100). The City requires a new culinary public supply well to augment its existing water system. The Dixie Well is expected to produce between 2,500 to 3,000 gallons per minute (gpm) and must be fully integrated into the City’s culinary water infrastructure. All proposers are encouraged to review the City’s culinary water master plan prior to submission. Water rights for the proposed location have already been acquired and applied by the City; therefore, water rights assistance is not included in the scope of work.
Scope of Work
The selected Proposer will be responsible for all activities necessary to deliver a fully operational well system design. Services include, but are not limited to:
 Well Design, Development & Bidding
o Engineering design of the well
o Preparation of bid documents (drawings and specifications) for drilling, casing, equipping, pump installation, performance testing, and water testing
 Well House Design & Bidding
o Structural design and construction of the well house
o Integration of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
 Permitting & Regulatory Compliance
o Acquisition of all necessary permits
o Coordination with state and local agencies
o Ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental and governmental standards
The completed system must meet all operational and regulatory requirements for a reliable municipal water supply.
