I1_1. I. PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND: The intent of this IFB is to obtain bids to establish a (1) one year contract with (4) one year optional renewals from a qualified Contractor to provide Lifeguard Staffing and Headguard Services at Pocahontas State Park, located at 10301 State Park Road, Chesterfield, Virginia 23832, for the safe operation of the Pool Facility for seven day a week operation to begin May 24, 2025 through August 17, 2025, Weekend Only Operation August 23, 2025 - September 1, 2025 (including Labor Day), include the following minimum scope of work.
Park management of the pool has identified a staff of 40 lifeguards has been a good operational number to maintain proper lifeguard services and to ensure enough of rotation for the full season and privately operated contract management identified to maintain a minimum of estimated (16) sixteen for weekday activity and (18) eighteen for weekend activity.
