AACOG is seeki ng proposals fromqualified consultants to update the Regional Public Transit Coordination Planfor the Alamo Region (Region 18). This plan will meet the requirements outlinedin the TxDOT Coordination Plan Guidebook and will comply with state and federalregulations, including the Federal Transit Administration's Section 5310.

The purpose of this RFP is toidentify and contract a consultant with the expertise to:

1. Conduct a comprehensive assessment of thetransportation needs of target populations (e.g., seniors and individuals withdisabilities, but also low-income residents, zero car households, youths,residents with limited English proficiency, veterans, and clients of workforceagencies (job seekers).

2. Help organize and facilitate meaningful stakeholder andpublic engagement.

3. Identify gaps and duplication in transportationservices focused on the above populations.

4. Identify and help facilitate prioritization of unmetneeds.

5. Identify goals and strategies that stem from theprioritized unmet needs and help facilitate the prioritization of thosestrategies.

6. Prepare a 5-year update to our regional coordinationplan that meets TxDOT’s requirements and supports funding eligibility.

AACOG is looking for experiencedprofessionals in public transportation coordination to prepare and deliver anupdated, five-year regionally coordinated transportation plan. This plan aimsto ensure a comprehensive network of transportation services, enabling peopleto efficiently and effectively reach their destinations.
