The 30th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Vandenberg SFB, CA intends to issue a sole source procurement action for a service repair on Heavy Duty Box Machine (HBM72) (Serial#2100059) and restore it to full functionality, including operator training. The requirement for the repair of the T-ROC automated box maker machine is driven by the need to restore the machine's functionality and ensure the continued efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations, which supports the packaging and shipping. Market research indicates that T-ROC EQUIPMENT, L.C. is the sole manufacturer of Heavy Duty Box Machine (HBM72) (Serial#2100059) parts and is the only contractor qualified to perform installation, testing, and calibration necessary for this upgrade. No other contractors are available or certified to provide this type of service. Manufacturer Warranty becomes void should anyone else (other than T-ROC EQUIPMENT, L.C.) can perform this type of service to the equipment. The applicable NAICS for this acquisition is 322211, “Corrugated and Solid Fiber Box Manufacturing”, with a business size standard of 1,250 employees. The proposed contract is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1). This is a notice of intent to award a sole source action and is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 7 days of publication of this Special Notice.
Firms who want to challenge the sole source determination must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm's ability to provide an equivalent supply as described above. Interested parties must provide a rationale as to why they should be considered. Respond to the below point of contact by 11 March 2025, 1300 (PST). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The 30th Contracting Squadron will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing capability information.
