Park Substation Line Extension Project

The Park Substation Line Extension Project in coordination with the Gypsum Canyon Memorial Park Development consist of installing new 12kV underground electrical infrastructure along Santa Ana Canyon Road from Woodcreek Road to Gypsum Canyon Road.

This project is not covered “Project Work” as defined in the Second Amended and Restated Community Workforce Agreement (CWA). Electric utility work on high voltage utility equipment and other special utility construction work are specifically exempt and excluded from the scope of the CWA.

CONTRACTORS BIDDING FOR THE ELECTRICAL PORTION OF THIS PROJECT MUST BE ON THE PUBLIC UTILITIES DEPARTMENT’S CURRENT PREQUALIFIED TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS LIST FOR 2021-2026.

10% bid bond required. Required License Classification: Current and valid “A–General Engineering” for the Prime Contractor, and “C-10” for contractors performing high voltage electrical work. DIR registration is required for prime and subcontractors. Liquidated Damages will be One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) per day. See Attachment “A” for additional project information.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting is scheduled for February 17, 2026, at 2:00 pm and will be conducted on the Microsoft Teams Meeting platform.
