Background:

FHI 360 is a nonprofit human development organization that mobilizes research, resources and

relationships so that people everywhere can access the opportunities they need to lead full,

healthy lives. The Strengthening Infectious Disease Detection Systems (STRIDES) Activity

implemented by FHI 360 aims to enhance the capacity of partner countries to prevent, detect, and

respond to epidemics and novel infectious disease threats. Key objectives include strengthening

detection capacity, developing sustainable surveillance systems, providing technical assistance,

and increasing access to quality laboratory services.

Purpose:

FHI 360 through STRIDES Activity is supporting the Government of Uganda to address significant

shortages in essential diagnostic reagents. The STRIDES project seeks to strengthen national and

subnational laboratory systems for the timely detection of priority zoonotic and epidemic-prone

diseases using a One Health approach. STRIDES s seeking qualified suppliers to submit quotes to

supply pharmaceutical products to Uganda.

Deliverables, Timelines, Specials Terms and Conditions:

The estimated award date is early September 2026.

The list of commodities should adhere to the following special terms and conditions:

• Bidder shall adhere to the branding and marking requirements.

• Bidder shall provide all required product and shipping paperwork to facilitate in-country

delivery and clearance of procured STRIDES commodities – FY26-103433-STRIDES-UG-

RFQ-05.

• Bidder shall provide temperature data logging upon shipping cargo.

• Bidder shall provide cold chain services (if needed) and documentation while delivering

cargo to destination.

• Upon completion of packaging, Supplier sends complete shipping documents to the Client

and waits for Green Light to ship allowing preclearance.

• Supplier must submit commodities in stock and shortest lead time.

• Supplier must ensure container descriptions, and units per container matches requested

quantities / container description or specify the container description offered.

• The Pharmaceuticals provided under this Contract should have at least 24-month shelf life

from the date of Delivery.
