| Project Title: | Landscape Renovations, Maintenance & Campus Grounds Enhancement Services |
| Description: | North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University maintains approximately 190 acres of turf and landscaped areas across North Campus, South Campus, Truist Stadium common areas, and several off-site facilities. The University’s grounds serve as a highly visible representation of institutional pride and directly support recruitment, student engagement, campus safety, and major events. As campus infrastructure evolves and landscape areas mature, the University periodically performs renovation and improvement projects to address aging plant material, reduce high-maintenance designs, improve drainage and stormwater function, and enhance overall campus aesthetics. Rather than soliciting separate bids for each individual improvement, the University is establishing an informal, on-call RFQ structure that allows qualified contractors to perform renovation and maintenance services across multiple service categories as needs arise. This RFQ includes: • On-Call Landscape Renovation & Bed Improvements (general campus use) • Campus-Wide Overseeding, Fertilization & Chemical Applications • Annual Spring & Fall Flower Installation & Maintenance • Student Health Center Detention Pond Maintenance • Frye Hall Green Roof Maintenance The University intends to create a flexible service agreement that supports both planned improvements and responsive campus needs throughout the contract period. The purpose of this RFQ is to establish qualified landscape contractors who can provide consistent, high-quality services across a range of campus grounds improvement needs. Specifically, this RFQ is intended to: • Provide an on-call renovation vehicle for future landscape improvement projects • Improve long-term sustainability and reduce maintenance intensity of planting beds • Enhance the visual appearance of high-visibility campus corridors and facilities • Strengthen and improve fescue turf performance campus-wide • Maintain vibrant, event-ready seasonal flower displays • Ensure proper function and regulatory compliance of stormwater detention systems • Protect and maintain specialty landscape systems such as green roofs This structure allows the University to respond efficiently to renovation needs, infrastructure concerns, seasonal planting rotations, and turf performance goals without repeated solicitations. The overall objective is to maintain a safe, attractive, and professionally maintained campus environment while ensuring responsible stewardship of university resources. |
