Description


Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) is being issued to establish a contract with one or more qualified suppliers who will provide Waste Management Services (trash collection and removal) to Savannah State University (hereinafter, the State Entity or SSU) as further described in this eRFQ.
Savannah State University is seeking a contracted supplier to provide waste collection services at the Savannah State University main campus location, SSU Foundation House, SSU Marine Science Research Center, SSU Coastal Georgia Center and Jasmine Avenue House. The addresses for the locations listed may be found on the Waste Container Locations attachment. The selected supplier will also be required to provide additional roll off containers and collection when requested for special or planned events. The selected provider will supply the needed containers as per the included specifications and provide collection services as per the frequencies as stated in the specifications.
Savannah State University will select one supplier for this contract. The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and expire on June 30, 2027. The term of this contract will be for one year with four (4) one year renewal options for a maximum of 5 years. SSU will allow a not-to-exceed 3% price escalation for years 2-5.
Overview of the eRFQ Process
The objective of the eRFQ is to select one qualified supplier to provide the goods and/or services outlined in this eRFQ to the State Entity. This eRFQ process will be conducted to gather and evaluate responses from supplier for potential award. All qualified suppliers are invited to participate by submitting responses, as further defined below. After evaluating all suppliers¿ responses received prior to the closing date of this eRFQ and resolution of any contract exceptions, the preliminary results of the eRFQ process will be publicly announced, including the names of all participating suppliers and the evaluation results. Subject to the protest process, final contract award(s) will be publicly announced thereaft
