The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Office of Acquisition Management (OAQ), on behalf of the Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), New Jersey Field Office intends to modify contract no. ODT-5-C-0010 and extend the period of performance for up to an additional 4 months. This action would be executed on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR Subsection 6.302-1 to the incumbent contractor, CoreCivic, Inc. DBA CoreCivic (physical address: 5501 Virginia Way STE 110, Brentwood, Tennessee, 37027-7684, United States; Unique Entity ID: HJGMJN1JKL46; and Cage Code: 3HAR6).
Consistent with Federal procurement law, regulation, and other authority, CoreCivic provides comprehensive detention services for detained aliens at the Elizabeth Contract Detention Center (625 Evans Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07201), a contractor-owned and operated facility, under contract no. ODT-5-C-0010. The current period of performance of this contract will expire on June 30, 2025. This contemplated modification and extension will provide up to an additional 4 months of services while ICE executes a competitive, follow-on requirement to this contract. Only the incumbent, CoreCivic, can meet the government’s needs by the required performance start date of July 1, 2025 and no other service or provider will satisfy the agency requirement.
