Description

This RFP process is to put in a competitive bid for the Fuel management of the Tibbles Lake North treatment unit, see appendix 1.  Services to include thinning, pruning, pile and burn or some other method to mitigate the fire hazard such as grinding, chipping etc. The treatment area is 16.8 hectares in size, and it was salvaged logged in the Winter of 2024.  This area has been broken into two treatment units,10.0 hectares has been categorized as high tree density, and the remaining 6.89 hectares has been categorized as low tree density (more open canopy with less thinning and pruning to do).

The previously completed salvage logging operation was harvest using process-at- the-stump, this created litter and debris throughout the site.
