Notice is hereby given that the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services, Western Region, is seeking general
bids for the project entitled Westborough Security Fence located on the DYS Westborough Youth Service
Butler Security Yard at 145 Lyman Rd., Westborough, Massachusetts, State Project No. DYS2558FT1ZARAFENCE in accordance with the associated Contract Documents.
This project is a renovation at the DYS Westborough Youth Service Center. Work includes providing a 15 foot high
curved fence for approximately 250 feet; installation of three 4 foot wide man gates; and installation of a 16 foot
wide access gate. Bidding procedures and award of the Contract will be in accordance with the provisions of
M.G.L. c. 30 and 149, as amended.
A bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the bid amount, shall be made payable to the Massachusetts
Department of Youth Services. The deposit shall be in the form of a bid bond, or certified, treasurers or cashiers
check. Please mail the bid deposit in a sealed envelope to Franklin Miguel Francisco, Director of Capital
Planning and Facilities Massachusetts Department of Youth Services, 600 Washington St., 4th Floor, Boston,
MA 02111.
Bid forms and contract documents will be available after 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at
www.Projectdog.com, Project Code 867953. Documents are made available to all bidders in electronic form at no cost.
Bidders desiring hard copies shall be the sole responsibility for all costs related to printing and shipping of hard copy
documents. Neither owner nor Architect Engineer shall be responsible for full or partial sets of the Bidding Documents,
including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than Projectdog Inc. Bids must be submitted electronically at www.Projectdog.com, no later than Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. Details are set forth in the Bid Package Instructions to Bidders.
