The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) is the principal agency for emergency medical services in the Commonwealth, under Mass. General Laws Chapter 111C, 3(b). Under statute, MGL c. 111C, 4 and 5, MDPH is directed to enter into contracts with Regional EMS Councils, in order that these Councils can carry out the duties and functions charged to them in accordance with the statute, the EMS System regulations at 105 CMR 170.104, and as set out in the contract itself.

MDPHs Office of Emergency Medical Services is providing this notice of intent to award contracts under 815 CMR 2.00 to Regional EMS Councils via contractual agreement in order to meet the requirements of Mass. General Laws chapter 111C, 4 and 5.
