MQ-9A Detect and Avoid System (DAAS) Spares, Smart Sensor Spares, and Smart Sensor A- and B-Kit Procurement and Installation for IOC modification

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a Firm-Fixed Price and Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee Modification P00002 to Delivery Order N0001924F5565 under Basic Ordering Agreement N0001922G0006 to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), Poway, CA, for the procurement of USMC MQ-9A Detect and Avoid System (DAAS) Spares, Smart Sensor Spares, and Smart Sensor A- and B-Kit Procurement and Installation for IOC. This modification was awarded to GA-ASI in the amount of $27,873,450.

This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplier or services will satisfy agency requirements.” A determination by the Government not to compete this effort was solely within the discretion of the Government. This effort is covered under the Class Justification and Approval (CJ&A) number 23-0100 – redacted version attached to this announcement.
