Stewart Avenue Stormwater Improvements Project

Project Description: Pittsburgh Water is requesting bids for the Stewart Avenue Stormwater Improvements Project in the City of Pittsburgh. The project area is not currently serviced by a dedicated storm sewer system and has been historically impacted by recurring overland stormwater flooding issues. To address these issues, Pittsburgh Water is implementing the project in partnership with the City of Pittsburgh to construct a new storm sewer in the public rights-of-way of Stewart Avenue, Horning Street, Esther Way, and Parkdale Street; a green infrastructure stormwater management practice on adjacent private parcel number 0138-H-00105 (309 Horning Street); and associated roadway reconstruction throughout the project limits. The proposed storm sewer will connect to an existing downslope Pittsburgh Water system on lower Stewart Avenue.
