David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base has a Brand Name or Equal requirement for Pentax Portable Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) unit, this is an endoscopic device with high resolution digital recording capabilities that is used to evaluate swallowing and laryngeal function, particularly in medically fragile patients that are unable or unsafe for transport out of their hospital bed/unit. This equipment will be used primarily by the Speech Pathology service but will also be available for use by the Ear Nose Throat (ENT) providers.
