1. Bid Acceptance and Opening. The City of Tracy (“City”), will accept sealed bids for its Grand Theatre Audio Visual Upgrades Project, Phase 1, CIP 71119 (“Project”), by or before UPDATE: BID CLOSEING DATE TO JULY 15, 2025 AT 2:00 PM

Floor, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, California, 95376. Bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter.
2. Location and Description. The Project is for the Tracy Grand Theatre which is located at 715 North Central Avenue, Tracy, CA, 95376. Work includes: Removal of the existing audio visual system and components and the furnishing, installing, and testing of a new audio visual system and all other work as required per the Contract Documents.
3. Time for Completion. The planned timeframe for work is between September 2025 and January 2026. Contract time to be one-hundred (150) calendar days.
4. License. This Project requires a valid California contractor’s license for the following classification(s): Class C-7, Low Voltage Systems Contractor’s License and/or Class C-10, Electrical Contractor’s License.
5. DIR Registration. Contractor must submit proof of DIR Registration with Bid Proposal.
6. Contract Documents. Bids are required for the entire project work and shall be made upon the Bid Forms in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

7. Prevailing Wage Requirements.This Project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements, available at City Engineer’s office or online at http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR , applicable to the locality in which the Work is to be performed.
8. Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the maximum Contract Price, and a warranty bond for 10% of the maximum Contract Price.
9. Substitution of Securities. Substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments is permitted under Public Contract Code section 22300.
10. Subcontractor List. A completed Subcontractor List form must be submitted with the Bid Proposal in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
11. Pre-bid Site Meeting: An onsite MANDATORY pre-bid site meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Grand Theatre, located at 715 N. Central Avenue, Tracy, CA, 95376. Failure to participate in the pre-bid site meeting will render a bidder non-responsive. It is the contractor’s responsibility to be aware of all existing conditions of the Grand Theatre prior to bidding.
