General Description
The City of Greenville will receive sealed bids for the purchase of a Tow Behind Wood
Chipper. Wood chipper is to be a gas engine, 15" drum style, pintle hitch, chock holders
with wheel chocks, cone holder, lights reflectors and strobes, feed stop bar.
The city will also entertain bids for a trade in of our current wood chipper. Chipper is a
Woodsman model 2012, 4045 115 hp John Deer engine, 5770 hours.

Any changes and/or addenda to this bid will be posted on www.greenvillemi.org under
the bids tab. Any and all questions regarding this bid shall be directed to the principal
contact listed above.
Due Date
Bids are due 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 28, 2026
Submission of Bids
Please submit your sealed bids using the attached bid form, as well as all other requested
information. One copy of the bid shall be delivered to:

Request For Bids
Evaluation of Bids
The City will review submitted bids and other relevant information (cost, best value for the
municipality, subjective considerations) regarding the products to which the City wishes
to purchase. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any response for any or no
reason and to waive any minor irregularity if determined to be in the best interest of the
City of Greenville. Individuals or companies submitting paperwork as part of the bid
selection process understand, by their submission, the above evaluation process.
Selection of Bids
It is anticipated that this agreement will be considered by City Council on Aug 4, 2026.
The "Total Amount Proposed" cost will be valid for a minimum of 60 days after the bid
opening date and prospective vendors will be held to the price presented.
Awarding bidder must complete procurement to the City of Greenville within forty-five (45)
days.
Scope of Work

No sales tax may be added to the bid price, as the City of Greenville is sales tax exempt.
Any shipping costs for merchandise must be paid by the vendor, as part of the bid amount
proposed. Additionally, the final proposed total cost covers the entire scope of the project.
