1. Work of the Contract is shown and described on Figure 1 Site Surface Demolition and Soil Removal Plan and Project Manual entitled: Riverside Community Garden Site Work Department of Finance-Purchasing City of New London, CT Tighe & Bond, Inc. Consulting Engineers Middletown, Connecticut 2. The Work includes the following major items: a. The removal and disposal of an asphalt milling parking lot. b. The excavation of soil within the community garden footprint to 1 foot below surface grade. c. The installation of an orange demarcation/separation fabric at the base of the excavation. d. The backfilling and limited restoration of the excavation area with 1 foot of clean topsoil. e. The disposal of the excavated impacted soils.
