NOTICE TO ARCHITECTS
The University of Central Florida Board of Trustees announces that services in the disciplines of architecture (prime) and sub-consulting services (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, interior design, cost estimating, and landscaping) will be required for the project listed below:

Project and Location: Workforce Entrepreneurship Resource eXchange (WERX), University of Central Florida, main Campus.
The project will consist of the planning, design, and construction administration of the new Workforce Entrepreneurship Resource eXchange (WERX) to include approximately 70,598 net assignable square feet (NASF) of space, and approximately 105,897 gross square feet (GSF). The project is an interdisciplinary facility that will serve as a bridge between the academic mission of the University of Central Florida (UCF) and our industry partners supercharging our ability to provide a highly educated workforce in the fields where it is most needed.
The building will feature teaching labs, active-learning classrooms, study, and offices that are intended to support the following colleges:
College of Sciences (COS)
College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS)
College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS)
In addition, maker spaces will allow for hands on learning and creative problem-solving which models what students will be expected to do after graduation in jobs related to engineering and technology. WERX is dedicated to shaping the next generation of technical entrepreneurs, providing students with the tools and support to translate their technical skills into entrepreneurial success.
The total project cost is expected to be approximately $76,000,000, with a construction cost of approximately $61,000,000. The project size, scope, and budget may be changed at UCFs discretion, and this project is subject to the availability of funding.
All firms applying must be licensed Architects in the State of Florida by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation at the time of application and, if a Corporation, registered to operate in the State of Florida by the Department of State, Division of Corporations.  Blanket professional liability insurance will be required for this project in the amount of $2,000,000 and will be provided as a part of Basic Services.  Basic Services fee calculations will use the DMS fee curve Category B as a maximum, and the Basic Service fee will include all services listed on the UCF Basic and Additional Services for Major and Minor Projects policy, found at this link: HYPERLINK "https://www.fp.ucf.edu/resources/contract-documents/"

NOTE: The Selection Committee may reject all proposals and stop the selection process at any time. The University also reserves the right to cancel the project at any time.
