The 2024 condition assessments of the Public Art Collection identified three (3) stone, concrete, and terrazzo artworks as treatment priorities for 2025-2027. The artworks are Day and Night (Cracked Pot Foundations) by Katie Ohe, Centre Street Bridge Lion by James L. Thomson, and Self-Made Woman by Paul Slipper.
These artworks were identified as sharing specific treatment needs that require a specialized masonry conservation approach, including repairs that must be conducted by a skilled masonry conservator and stone carver. In addition, conservation oversight is required for the re-siting of one (1) artwork to an indoor location, while another artwork requires conservation specifications for the adaptation of its site.
