ARROW Utilities is a regional wastewater services Commission providing wastewater transmission and treatment services to nearly 400,000 people in 13 municipalities surrounding the City of Edmonton, including City of Spruce Grove, Town of Stony Plain, City of St. Albert, City of Fort Saskatchewan, Strathcona County, City of Leduc, Town of Bon Accord, Town of Gibbons, Town of Morinville, City of Beaumont, Parkland County, Sturgeon County, and Leduc County.
The Wastewater Transmission System consists of, approximately, 200 kilometers of forcemains and gravity mains. The size of forcemains and pressurized pipes ranges from 150 mm to 900mm, of gravity sewers, 525 to 2340mm, in diameter.
Over the past years, ARROW has experienced pipe failures on both gravity sewers and forcemains.
ARROW need to have a Master Service Agreement with a Sewer Pipeline Contractor for emergency pipe repair and replacement.
