Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a Solicitation Notice for Procurement and Replacement of a Log Boom at North Hartland Lake, North Hartland, VT.



THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the following work at North Hartland Lake. Procure and Replace the Following:




  1. Log boom wire rope with one inch (1”) diameter continuous length, six by nineteen (6 X 19) galvanized, Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), approximately twenty- three hundred feet (2300’) in length.

  2. Thirty (30) log boom chains

  3. Twelve (12) one inch (1”) rope clamps

  4. Two (2) one-inch (1”) thimbles

  5. The Contractor shall remove existing wire rope, and used hardware: fifteen (15) clamps, one (1) thimble) and six (6) twenty-foot (20’) logs resting on land to be disposed of properly off site.

  6. Six (6) twenty- foot (20’) logs marked with flagging in the lake section of log boom shall be moved out of the water to replace six (6) deteriorated logs resting on land.

  7. Eleven (11) Government furnished log booms varying in length ranging from ten feet (10’) to nineteen feet (19’) shall be installed to replace sunken booms in the lake section of log boom.



The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000.

ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY VENDOR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON RESPONSIVE.
