Lexington Ave Sidewalk - De Soto, KS

1. Proposals will be received from Bidders by the City of De Soto, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, at De Soto City Hall, 32905 W. 84th Street, De Soto, Kansas, until the above time for the construction of the City of De Soto Lexington Avenue Sidewalk.

2. Proposals will be held in strict confidence and will not be opened or evaluated until the proposal deadline has passed. After the deadline has passed, the Owner will open and evaluate the proposals.

3. Bidders will be notified of the results within fourteen (14) days of the date set above for bids to be received. The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder, but the City of De Soto reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in bids.

4. No pre-bid conference or formal bid opening conference will be held.

5. E-mail bids to bweisenburger@desotoks.us paper copies will be accepted as well. Paper copies will need to be in a sealed envelope stating City of De Soto – Lexington Ave Sidewalk.

6. The work includes installation of a concrete sidewalk, curbs and gutters, sidewalk ramps and storm sewer installation. The bid tab has 2 areas. Most of the sidewalk will be funded with a CDBG grant and the remaining comes from De Soto general funds. However, Davis-Bacon requirements apply to the entire project.

7. Copies of plans and specifications can be seen or purchased for a Non-Refundable fee on-line in their eDistribution plan room, additional assistance is available at distribution@drexeltech.com . Information regarding this project can be found in the “Public Jobs” link on the website. Contractors desiring the Contract Documents for use in preparing bids may also obtain a set of such documents from Drexel Technologies; 10840 West 86th Street, Lenexa, KS 66214, telephone number is 913- 371-4430. Bidding documents will be shipped only if the requesting party assumes responsibility for all related charges. Corporate, certified, or cashier’s checks shall be made payable to Drexel Technologies, Inc.

8. A bid bond is not required.

9. All bidders shall verify that they have considered all written addenda. Any written addenda issued during the time of bidding shall be covered and included in the bid. There will be no clarifications or exceptions allowed on the Bid. Bids are for a total bid package, and total contract price.

10. Bids received after the time and date above specified will not be considered.
