VARIOUS SCHOOLS OVERHEAD SECURITY DOOR REPLACEMENTS

The District of Columbia (the “District”) Department of General Services (“DGS” or the “Department”), on behalf of District of Columbia Public Schools (“DCPS”), is seeking a highly qualified design-builder (the “Contractor”) to furnish all professional design services, supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to develop stamped, permittable construction documents, acquire permits and construct per the approved documents for the Various Schools Overhead Security Door Replacement (the “Project”). A detailed narrative for the scope of work (the “Scope of Work”) is described in Attachment A.

The District of Columbia Public Schools system includes several schools with outdated overhead security doors. The goal of the Project is to replace the overhead security doors at the garage entrance that have exceeded their useful life. The Project locations are as follows:

1. Marie Reed Elementary School, located at 2201 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009.
2. Janney Elementary School, located at 4130 Albemarle St NW, Washington, DC 20016.
3. Savoy Elementary School, located at 2400 Shannon Pl SE, Washington, DC 20020.
4. Thomson Elementary School, located at 1200 L St NW, Washington, DC 20005.
