PUBLIC NOTICE

Sealed Bid Sale

Scrap Metal and Aluminum

The Fairfield County Commissioners will receive sealed BIDS at the Office of the

Fairfield County Engineer; 3026 West Fair Avenue; Lancaster, Ohio 43130 until 11:45

a.m. local time, Monday, March 16, 2026, for the price per pound on the sale of excess

personal property in the form of scrap metal, which is not needed for public use and is

obsolete and unfit for the use for which it was acquired, and also for clean aluminum

from obsolete signs.

BID forms can be obtained via the web at www.co.fairfield.oh.us\Engineer or at said

office.

The BID will cover such described metal and aluminum accumulated in the calendar year

2026. Bidders are requested to bid for (Item 1) scrap metal and/or (Item 2) aluminum

signs as follows:

a. Price per pound picked up at the County Engineer Road Maintenance

Facility, at the address stated, paid for on certified weight slips, and

b. Price per pound delivered by the County to the Bidder’s certified

weigh scales.

Payment to be by check made payable to the Fairfield County Engineer. Authority: Part

307.12, Ohio Revised Code.

The Fairfield County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids.
