CANOPY INSTALLATION-ARENA
OBJECTIVE
PURPOSE
The City of College Park is soliciting quotes from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, materials,
equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to fabricate and install metal canopy systems and
associated drop curtains at the Gateway Arena entrance area and the eastside walkway area.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Be properly licensed and authorized to conduct business in the State of Georgia.
Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the fabrication and installation of commercial
metal canopies, awnings, or similar structural systems.
Maintain general liability insurance, workers' compensation insurance, and any other insurance
required by the City prior to contract execution.
Be capable of providing all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, transportation, and incidentals
necessary to complete the project.
Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, codes, and ordinances
governing the Work.
The Contractor shall verify all field dimensions prior to fabrication.
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, tools, transportation, and
incidentals necessary to complete the Work.
Fabricated metal components shall receive a factory-applied powder-coated finish unless otherwise
specified.
The Contractor shall coordinate all work with the City's designated representative to minimize
disruption to Gateway Arena operations and pedestrian access.
The Contractor shall maintain a clean and safe work site and shall protect existing buildings,
sidewalks, landscaping, utilities, and adjacent improvements from damage. Any damage caused by
the Contractor shall be repaired at no additional cost to the City.
The Contractor shall remove all debris, packaging, unused materials, and equipment from the
project site upon completion of the Work.
Final acceptance of the project shall occur only after completion of all tasks identified by the City.
SCOPE of SERVICE
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation,
fabrication, installation, cleanup, and incidentals necessary to provide complete metal canopy
systems and associated drop curtains for the Gateway Arena entrance area and the eastside
walkway area.

The Work shall include, but is not be limited to, the following:
A. Fabrication
Fabricate metal canopy systems in accordance with the approved shop drawings and project
specifications.
Provide all structural framing, supports, brackets, hardware, anchors, flashing, trim, gutters,
downspouts (where applicable), and accessories necessary for a complete installation.
Apply a factory powder-coated finish to all exposed metal components.
B. Installation
Install metal canopy systems at the Gateway Arena entrance area and the eastside walkway area.
Furnish and install associated drop curtain assemblies, including roller tubes, mounting hardware,
guides, operating mechanisms, and accessories required for complete operation.
Verify field measurements prior to fabrication and installation.
Install all components plumb, level, secure, and in accordance with manufacturer recommendations
and applicable building codes.
C. Site Protection
Coordinate work with the City to minimize disruptions to facility operations.
Protect existing pavement, sidewalks, landscaping, utilities, structures, and other improvements
throughout construction.
Repair any damage caused by the Contractor at no additional cost to the City.
D. Cleanup and Closeout
Remove all construction debris, excess materials, equipment, and waste from the project site.
Leave the work area clean and ready for use.
Participate in a final inspection with the City and promptly correct any punch-list items before final
acceptance.
E. Additional Requirements
Substitutions or deviations from the specified canopy system shall not be permitted unless
expressly approved in writing by the City prior to the quote submission deadline.
The Contractor shall provide a complete, fully functional installation, including all labor, materials,
equipment, fasteners, hardware, supports, and incidental items necessary to complete the Work,
whether or not every component is specifically identified in these specifications.
Exclusions / Work by Others
Unless specifically stated otherwise in the Contractor's quote, the following are excluded from the
Scope of Work:
Electrical power, wiring, connections, and commissioning.
Structural engineering services and sealed drawings.
Building permits and permit fees.
Masonry, concrete, or structural modifications to existing facilities.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
Within ten (10) days of Notice of Award, and at all times that this contract is in force, the
contractor shall obtain, maintain, and furnish the City of College Park, Certificates of Insurance
from licensed companies doing business in the State of Georgia and acceptable to the City of
College Park covering:
1.
Worker’s Compensation

In accordance with O.C.G.A. Title 34, Chapter 9, as

Not less than $500,000.00

Commercial General
Liability

Minimum $1,000,000.00/claim
$2,000,000.00/occurrence for Personal Injury, Bodily
Injury, and Property Damage Liability

Not less than $1,000,000.00/occurrence
Copies of these Certificates of Insurance shall be furnished to the City of College Park prior to
execution of the contract. Such policies shall be non-cancellable except on a thirty-day (30)
written notice to the City of College Park.
1. The CITY OF COLLEGE PARK (and any applicable Authority) will be shown as an
additional insured on General Liability, Auto Liability, and Professional Liability
policies and noted accordingly on the Certificate of Insurance.
2. The cancellation provision should provide 30 days’ notice of cancellation.

Right to Reject Quotations
The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all written quotations received under this Request
for Quotations, or to eliminate any or all Contractors Selected Provider responding to this Request
for Quotations from further consideration for award, and to duly notify any such Selected Provider
of the City’s determination in the manner deemed most convenient by the City.
The City reserves the right to reject any written quotations that are submitted by a Contractor Selected
Provider using a form and/or format other than the form and/or format stipulated in the Scope of
Work Scope of Services and/or provided by the City, or an application that is in any way or manner
incomplete, illegible, irregular or non-compliant, and to duly notify any such Contractors Selected Provider
of the City’s determination in the manner deemed most convenient by the City.
Right to Eliminate Non-Qualified Selected Provider from Award Consideration
The City reserves the right to eliminate from award consideration any or all Contractors Selected Provider
who submit an incomplete and/or inadequate written quotation response or who are not responsive to any
and/or all of the requirements stipulated in the attached Scope of Work, Scope of Services and to duly notify
any such Contractors Selected Provider of the City’s determination in the manner the City deems most
convenient.
Right to Cancel Request for Quotations
This Request for Quotations does not obligate the City to select a Contractor or Selected Provider and/or to
procure and/or contract the Selected Provider for any goods and/or services whatsoever.
The City reserves the right to cancel this Request for Quotations, with or without substituting another Request
for Quotations, and, if so desired, terminate the process at any time. Cancellation of this Request for
Quotations may occur with or without cause or prior notification. Cancellation of this Request for
Quotations, with or without substitution, shall not result in any liability to any Contractor Selected Provider
for any reason whatsoever.
