The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded contract 6973GH-25-D-00029 to Microwave Power Products, Inc. for repair of ASR-9 Klystron Tubes, NSN: 5960-01-464-9605 for support of ASR-9 field Radar sites operated by the FAA. The contract was awarded for one (1) base year period with four (4) one-year option periods to be exercised at the sole discretion of the FAA.
Microwave Power Products, Inc., Palo Alto, CA, is the only known source that can repair the ASR-9 Klystron Tubes manufactured by Microwave Power Products, formerly Communications and Power Industries. Microwave Power Products owns the proprietary data rights for these klystron tubes.
A market survey (6973GH-24-MS-00006) was posted to the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) web site on February 2, 2024. No responses were received in response to the market survey. Additionally, a Notice of Intent to Single Source (6973GH-24-R-00080) was posted to the SAM.gov web site on March 11, 2024.
An Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity contract with firm-fixed prices for repair of the ASR-9 Klystron Tubes for use in the ASR-9 radar system has been awarded to Microwave Power Products, Inc., Palo Alto, CA.
The Total Estimated Potential Value (TEPV) of the contract, base period and four option periods, is $7,413,797.00.
