Immigration Detention and Transportation - Krome SPC

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) intends to issue a sole source modification to contract HSCEDM-14-D-00002 to Akima Global Services for immigration detention and transportation services at Krome Service Processing Center (SPC) in Miami, FL. The purpose of this modification is to extend the performance of the contract from 10/31/2024 to 02/28/2025. The services will be procured in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." As the incumbent, AGS is uniquely positioned to continue providing these services on an uninterrupted basis. AGS is the only contractor positioned to provide the required services without disruption through transition period to initiation of the new contract for these services, which has been awarded and is currently under protest at the GAO level. Due to the critical nature of the ICE mission at Krome SPC and the sensitive nature of the requirement, no other contractor is capable of performing the services required in the timeframe in which the government requires them.
