Bernheim Lane Sidewalk Project

Project Description: Bernheim Lane Sidewalk Project includes construction of a 5-foot sidewalk along the eastern side of Bernheim Lane (US 31W) from Algonquin Parkway (KY 2064) to Dixie Highway (US 31W), and along the western side of Bernheim Lane from Algonquin Parkway to Dixdale Avenue. Also roadway right-sizing, which involves reconfiguring the existing four-lane section of Bernheim Lane into a three-lane section. The new configuration will consist of one northbound lane and one southbound lane, and a two-way left-turn lane. Median barriers will be removed, and the inlets capped with manhole lids.
Bidders and DBE subcontractors must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and possess a Certificate of Eligibility at the time of the bid opening. All other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts. Bidder is required to furnish a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Total Bid. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal established for this contract is six percent (5%) of the total value of the contract. The Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 26th, 2024 at 3:00 PM at 444 S 5th St Room 101.
