THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION; THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY.



This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government.



The Sources Sought number is FY26_USAFA_Wooden_Furniture_Dollies and shall be used to reference any written responses to this sources sought.



The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) anticipates a requirement that is being considered under a small business set-aside program. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed is 333924. The size standard for NAICS is 900 employees.



This requirement is for USAFA Wooden Furniture Dollies which are mandatory issue items. LRS Cadet Uniform Section has a continuing need for these items. The Wooden Furniture Dollies must be ordered and received in time for scheduled clothing events in June 2026.



The Buy American Act DFARS 252.225-7001 will apply to this acquisition. The government will not provide Government Furnished Material (GFM); the contractor will be responsible for procuring all materials to manufacture the garments.



The government intends to solicit a firm-fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a base period of up to one year and four option years.



The annual estimated quanities are as follows (exact quantities will be included with the award):




  • 0001 Dolly, Wooden 1,200 each



Delivery is FOB Destination to USAF Academy, CO 88040 with a 60 day ARO.



SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS/REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATIONS:



At a minimum, the wooden furniture dollies must meet the following specifications:




  1. Size – 18" X 30"

  2. Casters - The casters shall be 3" diameter Hard-Tread, Non-Marking, Permanently-Affixed, Swivel Casters. Must carry a minimum of 200 lbs. The casters' four bolts shall be the rails' primary fasteners and must be recessed in the wood to prevent interference with the plain of the dolly top.

  3. Design—The wooden four-rail dolly is crafted with smooth, non-splintering finished wood surfaces and carpeted ends, giving it a professional and safe appearance.

  4. Shipping—Stacks, including the pallet, shall not exceed 7'. The dollies shall be palletized to prevent wheel damage when offloading from freight trucks.
