The purpose of this Request for Quotes (RFQ) is to enter into a contract or purchase order with the responsive and responsible vendor that submits the lowest cost to provide an outdoor grill.
We are looking for a: durable, user-friendly grill designed for high volume and heavy/frequent community use made from robust materials. Must have a timer for auto shut off of the gas.
Below is a list of the features we’re seeking:
• We need maximum corrosion resistance with all exterior surfaces made from high grade stainless steel (304 minimum grade I think)
• Anti theft control knobs
• Securely mounted components
• Preferred solid, on-piece construction to minimize movable parts susceptible to vandalism
• Must hook into gas line
• Robust Warranty of 5-10 years covering parts labor and specifically addressing public/commercial use
• Auto shut-off mandatory
• Integrated fire suppression system preferred
• Flame failure safety devices
• Cool-touch exterior surfaces
• Secured fuel lines/connections, tamper proof connections
• Must use natural gas
• Built in temperature gauge
• Clear safety instructions/signage provided/available
• Easy to clean grease management system
• Adequate ventilation
• Non-tripping design
• ADA accessible handles
• Non tipping design that is securely/permanently installed
• Easy ignition system
• Even heat distribution
• Lift-assist grill lid/handle preferred
• Easily cleanable design
• Built in lighting
Measurements for the Grill and counter area:
• 42" x 25"
• 32" counter height
• 98" counter width
• 33.5" counter depth
The bid needs to include the cost of new grill replacement, shipping and handling, installation, and any modifications needed to the installation area.
Evaluation of Quotes: Each quote received shall be evaluated for responsiveness in as outlined in the Utah Procurement Code. This RFQ shall be evaluated by the objective criteria described in this RFQ. Quotes submitted must comply with the specification identified in this RFQ.
Multiple or alternate quotes will not be accepted. If a vendor submits multiple or alternate quotes, Snow College will only accept the bidder's primary bid and will not accept any other bids constituting multiple or alternate bids.
Snow College Purchasing may solicit other quotes via email, phone, or other methods as permitted by the Utah Procurement Code or applicable Administrative Rules.
