Flat Roof Replacement

The RM of Cut Knife No. 439 is accepting tenders for replacement of BUR roofing material with a membrane material on a 2300 square foot flat roof.

Tenders must provide for:

Removal of existing BUR roofing assembly down to existing roof deck and disposal of debris. Existing roof consists of: wood deck, 2 ply VB, 3.5” EPS, 1” fiber board and 4 ply BUR,
Building up of existing parapet to accommodate new roofing assembly,
Repairs to existing drainage system if required (2 current drains),
Installation of rubber (EPDM) roofing material, inclusive of any and all pre-membranes, vapor barriers etc necessary to construct the new flat roof to current standards and required slopes,
Installation of vent covers, flashings etc to finish to standards,
Removal of all deconstruction, construction and superfluous materials,
Contractor & Manufacturer warranties must be stated,
Proof of worker’s compensation coverage must be supplied,
Completion of project prior to April 30th, 2025.

There exists on the rooftop interior climate control unit and access.

SEALED TENDERS will be accepted until 4:00 PM CST Friday December 6th, 2024. All submissions must be dispensed and/or posted with sufficient time or service to ensure that they will arrive at the R.M. of Cut Knife administration office prior to the deadline.

Tenders delivered/mailed/emailed at/to any other location will not be accepted as valid. Onus is on the applicant to ensure that their tender has been received by the Municipality regardless of delivery option. Misdirected, late or unaccounted for tender applications will not be considered. Right to tender remaining sealed is automatically waived on emailed or faxed tenders and on any tender otherwise delivered that is not so marked.

Tenders will be initially considered at a meeting of Council at 10:30 AM on Wednesday December 11th, 2024 OR at the next meeting of Council following close of tenders providing that may come to be an alternate date. The R.M. of Cut Knife No. 439 reserves the right to reject any and all tender applications and/or to delay selection until such time as they deem to have fully considered their best option. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
