MassDevelopment is accepting sealed bids for the provision, delivery, set-up and installation of furniture and equipment for the Devens Public Safety Building in Devens, MA. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) package will be available beginning Wednesday July 16, 2025, at 12 p.m. by contacting Christine Brown (cbrown@massdevelopment.com) or John Marc-Aurele (jmarc-aurele@massdevelopment.com). The project work consists the provision of, delivery and set-up of furniture and equipment for the new Devens Public Safety Building being constructed at 270 Barnum Road in Devens, MA 01434, as identified in the Contract Documents and includes all labor, tools, materials, supplies, equipment, permits, approvals, paperwork, calculations, submittals, and certificates necessary to develop, construct and complete the Work. A pre-bid conference and site visit will be held at 10am on Thursday, July 24, 2025. Sealed bids must be submitted no later than 2:00pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, to the MassDevelopment office at 33 Andrews Parkway, Devens, Massachusetts 01434 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. LATE BIDS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. MassDevelopment reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Award of the contract for the work contemplated by this IFB may be subject to the approval of the MassDevelopment Board of Directors.
MassDevelopment is hosting a public meeting where its consultant, Utile, Inc., will present a draft of the use study for New Bedford State Pier. This study follows the submission and evaluation of seven proposals for future uses on the pier. The agenda, which includes details regarding remote participation, are available below. The NBSP is owned by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, through the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). The Agency currently manages the NBSP through an agreement with DCR. MassDevelopment is interested in development ideas/concepts for the NBSP that will advance the Agency’s objective to maximize use of this asset, and create a local and regional benefit, provide support to maritime industries, advance economic development, and foster asset utilization that will support a diverse and significant workforce.
