The Corps has been issued an Idaho Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (IPDES) permit from the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality for the Albeni Falls Dam. To ensure the protection of water quality and human health, this IPDES permit establishes limits on the types and amounts of pollutants that can be discharged from the dam and requires routine monitoring of discharge points. The Corps is seeking an accredited laboratory for analytical services to demonstrate compliance with the IPDES permit limits for Oil and Grease, Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Chemical Oxygen Demand, and Total Organic Carbon. Corps personnel will conduct all sampling and packaging and will schedule pickup of coolers for delivery of the samples to the laboratory. The Albeni Falls Dam is a hydroelectric facility operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), Seattle District. The dam is located at 2376 E Hwy 2, Oldtown, Idaho 83822.
