Project Description: The project is in unincorporated Chatham County on McQueen’s Trail adjacent to US 80.
McQueen’s Trail consists of a pedestrian/bike trail constructed over an old railroad bed surrounded on both sides by saltwater marsh. The trail material is constructed using a soil cement surface course over the existing rail bed sub-base. This trail has been impacted by hurricanes. This project will restore/repair specific areas along the northern edge of the western route of the trail.
