MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING:
Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 10:00AM, at Public Works Conference Room, 1805 NE 30th Avenue, Building 300, Ocala, FL 34471.
Scope of Work: BACKGROUND 1. The City of Ocala is seeking bids from experienced Contractors to provide ground maintenance services for the Public Works Department located at 1805 NE 30th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34470. Contractor must provide all labor, equipment, tools, and materials necessary to provide professional landscaping services. 2. All work must be coordinated by the City`s Project Manager, Dudley Bess, 352-351-6734 dbess@ocalafl.gov. 3. Contractor must provide a valid telephone number and address to the City Project Manager. The phone must be answered during normal working hours, or voicemail must be available to leave a message. 4. Services include maintaining City-owned right-of-way parcels and other designated areas as indicated in Exhibit C - Mowing Boundary Map. 5. Mowing on this contract must be completed on weekends only. 6. Vendors must attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting at the below date, time and location to be eligible to bid on this project. Vendors must be on time and no more than 10 minutes past the start time, or they will not be considered for bidding. MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING:

Ocala, FL 34471 LICENSING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 1. LICENSE REQUIREMENT: Bidder must possess and maintain a commercial applicator license with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and must submit a copy of their license with bid. 2. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Bidder must possess five (5) years of experience in providing mowing/ground maintenance services. CONTRACT TERM 1. Term: The resulting contract will be for an initial term of three (3) years. 2. Renewals: Two (2) optional, one-year renewal terms. 3. Escalation: Any price increase for contract renewal will be subject to negotiation as approved by the City of Ocala. In no case will the increase exceed three percent (3%) annually unless there are mitigating market conditions. Price increases shall be based on the CPI-U, and the Contractor must submit their request for an increase with CPI justification at least 90 days before the end of the current term.
