Notice of Intent to Single Source Transformer Replacement

This notice is for informational purposes only. The 110 MSC intends to award a single source purchase order to Nora Contracting for Transformer Replacement under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), due to the urgency of the requirement. This requirement is for the replacement of the failed transformer powering the front gate guard shack and active vehicle barrier. The urgency of restoring power to the guard shack and vehicle barrier precludes soliciting from more than one source. The power outage presents a security risk to the front grate, and temporary power solutions are limited.

This notice is not a request for offers and a competitive solicitation will not be issued. A Request for Quote will be issued to Nora Contracting, with an anticipated award date on or about Mar 26. This is not a request for capability statements, but the Government will consider all information submitted in response to this notice.

A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with award to a single source.
