I. CLARIFICATIONS
1. Will there be any days when we are not able to work? (i.e. court session
days) When is this?
Response: No. Construction will be allowed during court session days.
2. Could you provide an allowance for flooring / painting / solid surface that
the contractors can use for this bid?
Response: The Bid Schedule has been revised to include Owner Material
Allowance items for Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT), Carpet Tile, Paint, and Solid Surface
Countertop materials. These allowances are excluded from the Base Bid. The
Owner will reimburse the Contractor for the actual invoiced cost of Owner-selected
materials from the applicable allowance upon submission of supplier invoices with
each monthly Application for Payment. Any unused allowance balance shall remain
with the Owner. Material costs exceeding the stated allowance amount shall
require Owner approval and shall be addressed by Change Order.
3. Would the Owner like to include a unit price rate to patch existing EIFs outside of
our scope.
Response:
a) Minimum repair area to be 4 square feet.
b) Unit Price #1: Remove and replace EIFS finish assembly,
excluding sheathing replacement per sf.
c) Unit Price #2: Replace deteriorated exterior gypsum sheathing per
square foot.
d) Unit Price #3: Replace damaged stud framing per lineal foot.
4. There was mention of a phasing schedule for this project, could you provide
time frames/ phasing plan for this scope.
Response: There is no phasing to project schedule. The awarded contractor will
need to work with the owner when relocating the existing bulletproof windows so
as not to disrupt the court schedule.
5. Is this project Davis Bacon or Buy America?
Response: The project does not fall under either of these requirements.
6. Plans show conflict between pendant and concealed sprinkler heads. Please
advise the correct sprinkler heads to install.
Response: T Existing sprinkler heads are pendant. New heads to be installed as
concealed per detail sheet FP0.1.

7. Contractor Staging area, Dumpster and Parking
Response:
a) See attached site plan from CTI Engineers.
b) Damage to the existing parking, landscaping, sidewalks due to
construction dumpster location/operation shall be repaired to match
existing parking, landscaping, and sidewalks.

1. The undersigned bidder proposes and agrees, if this bid is accepted, to enter an
agreement with Owner in the form indicated in the Contract Documents for the contract
price within the contract time indicated in this bid.
2. Bidder has carefully examined the plans, the technical specifications, the General
Conditions, the Supplementary Conditions, Instructions for Bidders, the form of the
contract, the form of bonds, and all other contract documents, and thoroughly
understands their stipulations, requirements, and provisions.
3. Bidder has examined the site and locality where the work is to be performed, the legal
requirements (federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations) and all
conditions affecting cost, progress, or performance of the work. Bidder has made such
independent investigations as bidder deems necessary to become thoroughly familiar
with the conditions under which the work will be performed.
4. Bidder understands that a price for each item on the bid schedule must be filled in as
stated in Instructions for Bidders. Failure to indicate price for alternates, if any, may be
grounds for considering the bid irregular. Lump Sum prices on the bid schedule shall
include all labor, materials, safety measures, overhead, profit, insurance, etc. to cover
the finished work.
5. Bidder agrees that, if awarded the contract, all work thereunder shall be conducted in
such a manner and with sufficient materials, labor, tools, equipment, apparatus, and
incidentals as is necessary to insure satisfactory completion of the project within 210
calendar days from the date stipulated in the Notice to Proceed.
6. Bidder accepts the provisions of the Agreement as to liquidated damages of $500 per
day in the event of failure to complete the work on time.
7. Bidder represents that this bid is genuine and not made in the interest of or on behalf
of any undisclosed person, firm or corporation.
8. Bidder understands that the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to
waive any informalities in the bidding.
9. Bidder will complete the work as described in the specifications for the price(s) as
shown on the following bid schedules.
10. The Bidder is hereby acknowledging that the following documents are attached to and
