The Department of Natural Resources intends to contract with Smith-Root, Inc. who is the sole manufacturer of the field fish barrier system, for electric fish barrier inspection, maintenance and repair.
The purchase has been deemed a single source as the electric fish barriers are equipped with pulsators and other equipment manufactured by Smith-Root Inc. and all systems are protected by patent.
