The City of Anaheim, Central Purchasing Office , (hereinafter referred to as City) is requesting competitive bids from qualified vendors (hereinafter referred to as Bidder) for Wildland Fire Prevention & Habitat Restoration: Managed Goat Grazing Program . The awarded Contract, (hereinafter referred to as Contract) will be between the City and awarded Bidder, (hereinafter referred to as Contractor) in accordance with the City Master Agreement Terms & Conditions, conditions and scope of work. This is a fully electronic solicitation – only electronic bids submitted through the City’s online bidding system will be allowed; no other form of bid submittals will be accepted. Prior to submitting a bid, Bidders are advised to carefully read the instructions below, including the City Master Agreement Terms & Conditions and any solicitation attachments and/or exhibits.
The City is committed to reducing wildfire risk and enhancing ecological health across municipal properties through proactive vegetation management and habitat restoration practices. As part of this commitment, there is an ongoing need for specialized services related to targeted vegetation control through managed goat grazing at various City-owned and maintained locations.
These services include, but are not limited to, the controlled deployment and supervision of goat herds for fuel load reduction, removal of invasive plant species, and promotion of native habitat restoration. Additional services may include installation and relocation of temporary fencing, provision of water and shelter for livestock, site monitoring, coordination with City staff, and implementation of best management practices to ensure environmental protection and public safety. All work must comply with applicable environmental regulations, animal welfare standards, and relevant local, state, and federal requirements.
To support wildfire prevention and ecological sustainability goals, the City is issuing a solicitation to identify qualified vendors capable of providing comprehensive managed grazing services. This includes labor, equipment, livestock management, site preparation, monitoring, and reporting necessary to ensure effective vegetation reduction, habitat improvement, and safe, efficient operations across City properties.
