Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build (DBB) Women s Health Expansion (Minor) Construction project at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 820 South Damen, Chicago, IL 60612. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) requires a general contractor to Provide construction services for the Women s Health Expansion (Minor) Construction project at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 820 South Damen, Chicago, IL 60612. This project has been determined to be a Bona Fide need by VISN 12, the Jesse Brown VAMC, and the Healthcare Environmental Facilities Program (HEFP). The Jesse Brown VAMC is seeking a general contractor who must provide all tools, materials, components, labor, and supervision for site preparation, and construction for a fully functional new facility for Women s Health at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. Contractor shall also provide coordination for all phases of commissioning process handled by a third-party commissioning authority (CxA). (The Certification and Accreditation requirements do not apply for the contractor, and that a Security Accreditation Package is not required). ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Fee Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and and will be evaluated in accordance with the Tradeoffs procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $45 million. The solicitation will be issued around early February 2025. The period of performance is approximately 708 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000,000.00. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
