NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Trolley Shelter Metal Restoration The City of Joplin, Missouri is issuing a request for proposal (RFP) to provide a comprehensive restoration of existing Trolley shelters. By removing the glass panels from 3 sides of the shelter and replacing with perforated metal to extend the service life of the shelters for the citizens of the community. This project will address 24 existing Trolley shelters in Joplin, Missouri. All glass removal and metal installation will be completed by the contractor. Contractors are responsible for obtaining their own on-site measurements. Sealed bids will be accepted until 10:00 A.M. December 15, 2025, in the Office of the Assistant Director of Public Works, 4th floor, 602 South Main Street, Joplin, Missouri, 64801 (or by mail to 602 South Main Street, Joplin, Missouri, 64801) at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Joplin City Hall, 602 S. Main Street, Joplin, MO 64804 in the 4th floor conference room. Companies are strongly encouraged to carefully read the entire Request for Proposal. Specifications and bid forms are available online at www.joplinmo.org. Bid forms are also available by: picking up in person at the 4th floor of City Hall; or, writing to the address indicated above. Any bids received after the specified deadline will be returned to the vendor. The City reserves the right to evaluate all bids, to reject any or all bids and re-bid at a later date. The City may waive any irregularities in the bid or negotiate variances from specifications and make awards that are in the best interests of the city. The City will have final decision in all matters regarding acceptance of bids and issuance of awards. The City encourages minority and female owned businesses to submit bids on all City purchases. Leslie Haase Finance Director Proposals will be received by the Office of the Assistant Director of Public Works at the specified location until the time and date cited above. Only proposals received by the correct time and date will be recorded. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the Request for Proposal number and the Vendor’s name and address clearly indicated on the envelope. All proposals must be completed in ink or typewritten and submitted by the time and date above. Publication Date: Saturday, November 15. 2025
