Project Description
The Village of Hamilton seeks to enhance multi-modal transportation options through the Village.
Project objectives include connecting two existing trails, the Chenango Canal Towpath Trail and
the O&W Railroad Trail, to the Village center, Colgate University, and the Madison Marketplace
shopping center to the north of the Village in order to create safe routes for residents, students
and visitors who utilize non-automobile transportation for commuting, shopping and recreation.
This project proposes a multi-prong approach to fll the gaps in connectivity including several onstreet bicycle lanes. Specifc tasks for which assistance is sought include:
1. Environmental Review and Permitting
2. ROW Acquisition as needed.
3. Easement Acquisition, as needed.
4. Preliminary and Final Design
5. Public Bidding
6. Construction Administration
7. Construction Inspection
8. Grant Administration in accordance with TAP Grant Requirements
Upon completion of this RFQ / RFP process, the selected frm will proceed with design, bidding,
construction observation and construction and grant administration services
