Description
Nebraska Public Power District (DISTRICT) intends to procure all planning, material coordination, schedule preparation, labor, supervision, materials, tools, apparatus, equipment, conveyances, mobilization, and demobilization as necessary to remove and dispose of the existing Aden Bridge, and construct in its place a new twin span concrete box culvert. The project is located west of Gothenburg, Nebraska, on the Gothenburg Canal owned by the DISTRICT. Access to the site is through private property. The scope of work covered is intended to be a “turnkey” installation by the CONTRACTOR.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details
A non-mandatory site pre bid meeting for prospective Bidders will be held at the construction site of the Aden Bridge at 10:00 a.m. CDT, September 8, 2026. The purpose of the meeting will be to answer any questions or clarifications the Bidder may have concerning the RFB, and to familiarize the Bidder with the job site. It is the Bidder’s responsibility, while participating in the pre-bid meeting, to ask any questions necessary to understand the requirements of the Contract so the Bidder can submit a bid that is complete and according to the specifications. It is highly encouraged that all prospective Bidders participate in this meeting. If you plan to participate, email Bill Ruskamp at whruska@nppd.com with the names of those representatives planning to attend and the company they represent. Directions to the non-mandatory pre-bid meeting site are as follows:
• From the west starting at Brady, Nebraska: From the intersection of US-30 (I-80 ALT) and NE-56D Link go 6.9 miles east on US-30. Turn left onto private drive and go 0.2 mile north to site.
OR
• From the east starting at Gothenburg, Nebraska: From the intersection of US-30 (8TH ST/I-80 ALT) and Avenue E go 6.1 miles west on US-30. Turn right onto private drive and go 0.2 mile north to site.
OR
• Follow GPS navigation to private drive on north side of US-30 at 40°58'14"N, 100°15'52.3"W (40.9706°N, 100.2645°W). Enter private drive and go 0.2 mile north to site.
