Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of the 2024 Supplemental & 2025 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG), leveling and resurfacing improvements to Powell Drive, Oak Street, Neal Street, and Florida Avenue located in the City of Omega, Georgia until 11:00 am (local time), Thursday, March 6, 2025 at which time bids will be opened and read.

The meeting will be held at the City of Omega City Hall and will be opened to the public. Proposals can be mailed to the attention of Yolanda M. Baker, City Clerk for the City of Omega, P. O. Box 6, Omega, Georgia 31775 or delivered to 5518 Alabama Avenue, Omega, Georgia 31775. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. City of Omega may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids.

The Scope of Work Includes:
Fiscal Year 2024 Supplemental & 2025 Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG)
Leveling and Resurfacing Improvements to Powell Drive, Oak Street, Neal Street, and Florida Avenue.

All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Omega in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Omega. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount.

The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to City of Omega, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract.

All work on the project must be completed within 90 consecutive calendar days.
